St. Lucia

ST. LUCIA is truly beautiful and it is more than just a beach vacation! Located in the middle of the Eastern Caribbean, this island is known as the "mini Hawaii of the Caribbean".

Yet it is only 5 hours from New York City.

With a rain forest, volcano and a unique combination of black, white and golden sand beaches, there is so much to experience on this Caribbean island.




Our vacation there was fantastic and further reinforced how this is an ideal destination for couples seeking a mix of beach, romance and adventure on their Honeymoon.


The Piton Mountains, which are a World Heritage site located in the southern portion of the island, totally entranced us with their majesty and raw beauty.

Gros Piton and Petit Piton, as they are called, consist of two volcanic peaks that jut out into the sky from the Caribbean sea.

They are the most famous sight to see (and hike!) on the island. Their enormous size and beauty really do dominate the landscape. And what a lush landscape this island offers!

During our travels we inspected many lovely resorts offering a variety of accommodation choices and dining options including all inclusive plans for those seeking the ease of an all inclusive resort experience.  

Our favorite hotel rooms by far were the rooms with private plunge pools or outdoor jacuzzis for the utmost in romance and privacy. Perfect for a Honeymoon or any romantic getaway!





The beach is always a draw in St. Lucia for many reasons.

Snorkeling in the the warm and crystal clear Caribbean sea just steps from our resort, we saw the most colorful schools of fish just inches from our face mask. They took our breath away in amazement!

We explored multiple beaches offering a variety of sand colors ranging from black to white, something that you do not find in all of the Caribbean.

Water sports are abundant here including sailing, kayaking, scuba and deep water fishing.

Once you pull yourself away from the gorgeous beaches and step outside your luxurious resort you will want to experience some of the unspoiled nature the island has to offer.

Mountain bike along plantation ruins, zip line the rain forest canopy, visit the lush botanical gardens or dive into the hot springs after visiting the dormant volcano.

St. Lucia has it all. No wonder it has been rated as one of the top Honeymoon destinations year after year!
