It is no surprise that Hawaii still maintains its status as the #1 honeymoon destination yet it is also increasingly popular for families as well. Our 50th state offers an exotic Polynesian culture and vacation experience without requiring a passport. Yet you feel like you are in another country!
As a Certified Hawaii Specialist, I have visited all the islands with the exception of Molokai. Each island of Hawaii offers a different and unique experience. Deciding which islands to visit can be overwhelming. I assist my clients in selecting the ones that are best suited to their needs and interests. For many travelers, visiting Hawaii is a once in a lifetime experience so you want to make sure you do it right the first, and possibly only chance you get. Here is an overiview of the islands.
Oahu: The more commercialized island of the group, Oahu is the hub of Hawaii’s business sector. Honolulu and the world famous Waikiki Beach are here.
If you watch the popular TV show “Hawaii Five O” most of the landscape shots are taken here. Visiting Pearl Harbor is a must do and an extremely moving experience. Yet if you take the time to venture off to the North Shore you will experience world famous waves as well as discover lush landscapes.

Maui: Is one of the most popular of Hawaii’s islands and offers the most varied selection of hotel accommodations outside of Oahu. You can bike down Haleakala’s dormant crater, hike lush rainforests, attend an authentic luau by the ocean and bar hop in the lively town of Lahaina all in the same day. Maui has something for everyone!

Kauai: The traveler seeking quiet authentic Polynesian charm and breathtakingly beautiful landscapes will want to experience Kauai. Adventure seekers and nature lovers will never fall short of things to do here. And of course its beaches are spectacular!

The Big Island: While the draw to the biggest island might be its active volcano, there is much to do and experience here. You can explore the many ancient petroglyphs, snorkel along beautiful reefs and ride out to the islands green and black sand beaches.

Lanai: A short boat ride from Maui brings you to this quiet and pristine island where only two main resorts reside. If you are seeking a true escape and a more exclusive experience this is the island for you!
I always say you can visit Hawaii a dozen times and each time can be a totally different experience. The islands of Hawaii have so much to offer couples and families alike and you will always be greeted with their “Aloha” spirit!
